Mission Statement
A few years ago, I discovered a new medium that combined my love of drawing and my desire to oil paint. This medium is oil sticks. This is oil paint that can be applied by drawing, as with a crayon, or by adding mediums and using brushes, as in traditional painting techniques. The use of this medium allows me the freedom to express my ideas and interpretation of energy and movement quickly in my initial approach to the canvas. Once the idea is laid out, I can return to the canvas and use brushes, linseed oil and liquin to work on the technical pieces of painting (color overlays, shapes and line). When viewing my paintings, I hope you will FEEL the energy and enjoy my colors.
